Sleep IoT Quest - Day 21 Progress Update

Sep 5, 2025

Day Summary

Another day done — and yes, I did my Daily Quest at the very, very, very end of the day. I’m tired, sick, and can barely breathe through my nose, which is annoying and tanks concentration due to lack of oxygen. Still, I made progress: cleaned parts of the old apartment, moved more laundry as well as finally my pets between the two places, kept work moving — and, despite the struggle and low oxygen, got the Daily Quest in too.

Not pretty, but f.ck pretty - progress counts. Almost at the halfway point of the book too - Nice.

  • Progress: +10 pages — p.212 → p.222.
  • Session: late-day read; quality lower than usual due to lack of oxygen (stuffy nose, can't breathe).
  • Coding: none.

Context

  • Nose is blocked from a cold → concentration dipped.
  • Banking the win as-is; expecting better once i can breathe again.

Reading

  • Read continuously from p.212 to p.222.
  • No detailed notes captured beyond page progress (nothing special in there - hashmaps and a bit of the error chapter, mostly about panics and result variants - there was an interesting bit about hard-aborting a process and letting the OS clean up the leftover memory used which made me wonder how that works in IoT).

Coding Practice

  • None (reading-only day).

Reflection

  • Not every day is a peak day. Showing up and logging pages while sick keeps momentum.
  • Accept the lower-output day; recover and resume normal intensity tomorrow.

Key Learning

  • No new technical takeaways logged today (energy conserved).

Total Time Spent

  • Reading: 60m
  • Coding: 0m
  • Daily total: 60m

PCT (Project Cumulative Time): 26h29m
